Unloved Gifts

I want everyone to be delighted with their new things so I’m happy to accept back any unwanted items for a refund within 14 days of delivery, provided the following terms are met:

  • All packaging must be in place (except the gift wrap) and the item must be in perfect condition
  • You are able to provide a valid proof of purchase – this can be a confirmation email or the delivery note inside your parcel
  • Return postage costs are covered by you.  The original postage charge will be deducted from the refund even if you were eligible for free delivery
  • Sale items, sweets, books, hair accessories and gift cards are non-refundable
Please note, I can only refund the original credit card so if you don’t want the gift buyer to know, please drop me an email and we can work out an exchange instead.  It will be our secret.  My email address is  I'm afraid you'll have to cover the postage for the new item.  Please don’t email your credit card details to me, I will never ask you for these.  You can checkout through my website to make any additional payments.  I'll talk you through it over email.


    Faulty Items

    If the item is faulty, please email me as soon as you can so that I can immediately inspect the rest of the batch of this item.  My email address is  It may help explain the issue if you send a photo.  We can then agree on an exchange or refund via email.  If the item is faulty I will pay for the postage.  In most cases my suppliers will want to inspect the faulty item so it will need to be returned.  Faulty toys are no laughing matter.


    How to Return

    1. Send me an email ( to tell me you are going to return something. Please include your order number which is written on the confirmation email or delivery note
    2. I will respond as soon as I can with the UK return address
    3. Pack the item really well with full details of who you are/your order number so I know it’s from you
    4. Take it to the Post Office. Make sure you get a proof of postage, so that in the unlikely event it goes missing you can make a claim against the Post Office
    5. When I receive your item I’ll check it’s perfect then send you an email confirming everything is fine
    6. I’ll try to process the credit card refund (minus the original delivery cost) straight away but you may need to wait up to 14 days for your credit card company to process it


    The Legal Bit Regarding Faulty Goods

    • Within 30 days, a customer has the right to return something for a full refund if it is poor quality, faulty, not as described or unfit for purpose
    • After 30 days, and only if the item is faulty, Love From Aunty is entitled to offer a repair or a replacement before a refund
    • If a fault is discovered within 6 months (and after 30 days) of purchase, it is assumed that the fault has always been there
    • After 6 months, the customer must prove that the fault was there when the item was bought
    • Love From Aunty reserves the right to test a toy before accepting it back as faulty
    • Wear and tear is not a reason to return a toy
