I was building a den with my nephew when I realised I had no idea how to tie off the rope. I ended up crocheting it to the tree as it's the only knot I knew! My niece drove her scooter into the den resulting in the rope having to be pulled tighter. My brother jumped up to fix it and exclaimed "What. On. Earth. Is. This!!". So the next day I bought this. I'm planning on brushing up on my knot tying skills before venturing out again.
An entertaining, easy-to-follow, and eminently practical book which will equip young readers with skills to last them a lifetime (It's also a great beginner's guide for adults aka me). Among the beautifully illustrated step-by-step projects you'll find handy knots for sailing, camping and the home, and other knots that are simply a pleasure to tie. 50 clearly illustrated projects, including variations on the most famous examples.
